Meaty finally arrives in Vaud!

Meaty is pleased to announce the launch of its ecological, ethical and quality meat offer in the Lausanne region.

Since 2019, Meaty has been offering high-quality meat from local producers working on a small scale. These collaborations are governed by the following principles: animal welfare and dignity, and sound, environmentally-friendly farming techniques.

Meaty is now established in Vaud thanks to its partnership with the store Kiss The Groundwhich will be our first collection point in the center of Lausanne.

How does Meaty work?

Meaty is based on a simple idea:

Participants get together to buy an animal and share all the parts. Until now, the main drawback of this idea has been the difficulty of bringing consumers together and getting them to agree. Thanks to today's technology, the process is simplified to just three steps:

In Longirod (Jura vaudois), father and daughter run a 62-hectare family estate, combining arable farming with the breeding of Angus suckler cows.

In this privileged environment, the cows have year-round access to the open air and are fed mainly on grass. Calves are left with their mothers to feed on their mother's milk.

No use of additives, GMO feed, preventive antibiotics or animal protein.

Rolle regional abattoir

Rolle's small abattoir is run by a cooperative(CARRE) bringing together farmers, butchers and public authorities. This small-scale structure ensures humane operations and dignified treatment of animals, far removed from the large-scale industrial circuits.

Moreover, its proximity to producers and consumers favors a short circuit approach, while reducing the stress associated with animal transport.
